Asma Khan

Asma Khan is a chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and philanthropist. The first British chef to be featured on Netflix’s documentary series Chef’s Table, Khan owns and runs London’s Darjeeling Express restaurant, through which she seeks to drive social change by regularly platforming her all-female south Asian kitchen and restaurant staff. She also volunteers her Covent Garden restaurant space for women of diverse backgrounds to host their own supper clubs.

Khan’s 2018 cookbook Asma’s Indian Kitchen was the winner inthe UK category for food publishing in Indian cuisine in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, and in 2020, she was named one of 25 influential women by British Vogue.
